The State of Pride in Europe 2026 is the first report of its kind by the European Pride Organisers Association (EPOA), providing a unique insight into the realities faced by Pride organisers across Europe. Based on responses from 112 Pride organisers, the report examines the conditions under which Pride events operate, including funding, safety, civic space, and political support.
While Pride continues to grow and diversify across Europe, the report highlights significant challenges, including rising hate speech, funding pressures, volunteer burnout, and restrictions on freedom of assembly. At the same time, it showcases the resilience, growth, and determination of Pride organisers who continue to create spaces for visibility, community, and human rights.
By focusing on the lived experiences of Pride organisers, State of Pride in Europe 2026 provides an evidence-based overview of the opportunities and challenges shaping the future of Pride across the continent.
